Early 19th Century Country French Louis XVI Commode was hand-crafted by master artisans from dense, old-growth indigenous oak and designed to last for centuries!  The neoclassical architectural influence is obvious, with rectilinear casework and tailored, tapered legs.  Fluted pilasters form the cornerposts that bracket the front, which consists of three full width, spacious drawers carved across their entirety with foliate motifs depicting olive and laurel branches.  On each side were mounted intricately cast bronze pulls, with classical motifs in abundance, appearing like jewelry on the face of the casework.  Dotted molding framed each drawer, with fluting and spiral ribbon also appearing.  Solid plank top and pegged mortise & tenon joinery ensure your family will continue to cherish this keepsake for generations to come!
