18th Century French Walnut End Table represents the essence of form combined with function, all completely hand-made. Solid plank top is affixed to two runners below which are in turn fastened to the framework below with pegged joints. The framework itself is crafted with pegged mortise & tenon joints, and consists of solid plank aprons connected to the plinths that are a part of each turned leg. The legs are connected at lower plinths with an "X" stretcher for added strength and longevity, with bun feet providing support. An added bonus is the full width drawer still surviving with its heart-shaped forged steel drawer pull for the perfect touch of charm!
