19th Century French Belle Epoque Cafe Table with Painted Cast Iron Base

19th Century French Belle Epoque Cafe Table with Painted Cast Iron Base is a remarkably detailed work of art!  Under the unassuming round walnut top is where the magic begins, with decorative chairs looped in a circle around the central shaft, which consists of a classically designed tapered and fluted form with upturned acanthus plumes just above the juncture of the incredibly intricate tripod base.  Fantastic naturalistic forms abound including rosettes, foliate plumes and laurel branches.  The scrollwork undulates down to the very feet of the work, connected again to the central shaft towards the base with a floret pendant finial at the bottom.
