19th Century French Louis XV Walnut End Table was sculpted from what is considered the finest furniture wood indigenous to the European continent!  The contoured and beveled top takes the shape of a violin, and overlooks the elegant scrolled apron which is bowed out at the center on all four sides.  Each side is also lavished with the attentions of talented sculptors, rendering shell, floral and foliate motifs directly into the apron itself, then joining the aprons to four gracefully double-scrolled cabriole legs.  The shoulders of the legs are adorned with scrolled corbels and cascading wildflower sprays, leading the eye down to the escargots carved on the feet.  Lightweight, elegant, and usable in two directions, it is as versatile and easy to use as it is beautiful to behold!
