19th Century French Renaissance End Table ~ Jewelry Box ~ Sewing Table is an excellent choice for a truly functional table with abundant visual appeal!  Hand-carved from solid oak, it features a drawer on one side, and a hidden drawer underneath that.  Above the drawer is a compartment that could house jewelry or sewing materials, or any small keepsakes.  Top lifts open like a trunk to access the top compartment.  Elegant scrollwork in relief appears on the facade, with raised panels on the remaining three sides, all supported by four tapered and fluted column legs which in turn attach to a beautifully scrolled and carved base connected with a tapered and fluted stretcher.  An unusual item that will still start a conversation a century and a half after its making, and provide joy to your family for generations to come!
