19th Century Italian Renaissance Walnut End Table ~ Center Table

19th Century Italian Renaissance Walnut End Table ~ Center Table is exquisitely sculpted on all four sides, making it a great choice for placement in the center of the room, or anywhere one desires!  Hand-carved from solid walnut, it features a wonderfully contoured top with demilune edging all around, and intaglio style carving on the top depicting a rosette surrounded by various iterations of fantastic scrollwork and foliates.  The top is supported by aprons carved with relief work of scrolls with acanthus leaves, and rosettes appear on the tops of the legs at each corner.  The legs are a combination of turnings and carvings, and are connected below with a double-bowed carved stretcher that boasts a full relief bust of a cherub at the center.  On each side appear the double sided eagle motif sculpted in three dimensions, adding yet another layer of interest.
