19th Century Italian Neoclassical Painted Buffet is a masterpiece of design, artfully rendered from solid oak with architectural design elements that glorify ancient Greece and Rome!  The gray painted top contrasts yet at the same time complements the casework below, and follows the contours which include broadly rounded corners which make this piece extremely traffic-friendly.  An elongated egg & dart pattern comprises the drawer tier immediately under the top, with two corner drawers with rounded facades flanking a wide central drawer.  Below the central drawer, framed with boldly carved acanthus corbels, appears an open display area, which in turn appears below the two centered lower cabinets with a tailored diamond panel design.  The rounded cabinet doors on each corner display remarkable design aesthetics, with meticulously carved accents around the panels, all framed in tailored molding, and framed by the aforementioned corbels as well as matching corbels that appear almost at the rear of the piece.  Each corner cabinet provides surprising storage assisted by a singular shelf.  Bold base molding completes the design, while the patinaed painted finish creates a subdued visual appeal while simultaneously highlighting the amazing carvings encircling the entire facade.
