Antique French Directoire Mahogany Buffet represents the essence of understated elegance!  Tailored, rectilinear lines define the architecture, with a step-front center section defined by three-quarter rounded and fluted cornerposts, repeated on the actual outside corners to define and provide a framework for the facade.  The top has been contoured and beveled to follow the casework design.  Each of the aforementioned corner columns is also adorned with brass feet tips, a brass collar just below the case, and rounded louvers in brass set at the drawer tier level.  Even the back legs on each side have received the same treatment, making this piece visually appealing from any angle, even if it's the only item on the wall!  Four drawers across the top tier are framed in quarter round brass trim and fitted with round ring pulls in cast brass, with four cabinets below fitted with bookmatched flame mahogany for an impressive appearance, accented with cast brass key guards.  The drawers open to reveal nice storage, including silver velvet lining in one, while the cabinets open to reveal a yawning interior with shelves capable of holding all your china, crystal and serving pieces!
