Antique Liegoise Louis XIV Style Buffet in Stripped Oak is a magnificent work of the cabinetmaker's art!  The architecture is complex, with a step-front center section and four recessed and rounded cornerposts on the front, creating visual appeal from all angles.  Even the sides are treated to recessed, framed panels, molded detail that flows all the way to the back side of the piece, a gracefully scrolled apron and pediment style feet.  The aforementioned rounded cornerposts are embellished with octagonal molded panels on the drawer tier, with shell and foliate motifs carved in relief on the cabinet tier.  Each drawer is carved with fine molded detail enhanced on each side by foliate motifs that complement the cornerposts, then centered with a cast brass key guard.  All four drawers are framed & separated by the octagonal molded panels.  The cabinet doors, however, steal the show with elaborate classical urn designs bursting with flowers, embellished with scrollworks, shells, florals and foliates, all presented on two levels of arched framing, with cross hatching as an added embellishment.  Each door is also fitted with cast brass key guards.  Support is provided by massive, boldly molded pediments for a truly impressive visual impact!  The solid white oak has been professionally stripped by our expert staff using our proprietary process that retains the natural beauty and patina of the wood for a soft earthy coloration.
