Grand Antique French Empire Style Mahogany Buffet with Bronze Ormolu is a magnificent example of the style, rendered from exquisite imported wood to create a stunning style statement.  The rich oxblood red tones of the wood contrast beautifully with the gold of the elaborate bronze ormolu mounts, including key guards on the drawers and cabinets, corbel adornment, rosettes, and the palm fronds on the doors arranged in an "X" pattern.  At the center appears another beautiful casting which combines stylized foliates with the palm frond motif, centered with a matching rosette.  Lions' paw feet are below for added visual appeal.  The four doors open to reveal capacious storage with adjustable shelves, all trimmed in maple.  Four drawers add even more functionality with a style flair that only this particular genre can engender.
