19th Century French Louis Philippe Period Burl Walnut Marble Top Commode exemplifies the epoch, where tailored architecture and dearth of ornamentation were considered the preferred style by the court, all while glorifying the natural beauty of the wood and stone!  Featuring the classic serpentine top tier which also happens to contain the uppermost drawer, it features rectilinear style down to the elevated base with scrolled corners.  Three larger drawers below the uppermost drawer are adorned with bookmatched walnut designed to showcase the incredible detail of the wood grain.  No pulls were used in this period; only a key was left in the centered lock to use as a drawer opening aid.  Topped with exquisitely veined marble with rich, dark shades of gray and cut with a groove around the edge to complete the look!
