19th Century French Louis XVI ~ Directoire Marble Top Commode

19th Century French Louis XVI ~ Directoire Marble Top Commode is a study in subdued elegance!  Utilizing exotic imported mahogany painstakingly brought from the Americas, the French masters created a neoclassical case with brass quarter-round trim around the side panels and framing each of the drawer facades.  The drawers are also flanked by rounded and fluted cornerposts that terminate into tapered legs with brass tips.  The drawers are also fitted with brass bale pulls and open to reveal surprising storage!  To top it off, only Carrara marble would do, and this top is rounded on the corners to follow the casework below.
