19th Century French Louis XVI Mahogany Commode features exceptional hand-carved detail and an intriguing architecture that includes rounded sides to lessen the visual impact especially since this grand piece is four feet tall and over four feet wide!  Glorious full relief carvings of rosettes, laurel sprays, and scrolled acanthus leaves with berries grace the facade.  The four drawers are defined by the carvings, and are framed by fluted pilasters which lead the eye to the rounded corners.  Intricately molded to follow the precise and complex contours, the entire affair is set upon tapered and fluted column legs.  Cast bronze key guards provide the perfect finishing touch!
