19th Century French Louis XVI Mahogany Marble Top Washstand ~ Commode is a wonderful example of the revival of the neoclassic style during the Belle Epoque!  Rendered from finely figured imported mahogany, hand-cast bronze and beautifully veined marble, it combines timeless beauty with extraordinary functionality.  Three full width and two half-width drawers offer impressive storage options, and each is fitted with finely detailed cast bronze bale pulls and cast key guards.  Intricate cast bronze corbels atop fluted pilasters form the cornerposts framing the drawers.  Each drawer facade is also comprised of finely figured mahogany bordered with inlay, and the sides feature four cross-matched panels for unparalleled visual appeal from any angle!  To top it off, luxuriously veined beveled marble with marble uprights supporting a shallow marble shelf perfect for supporting a mirror, displaying keepsakes or whatever your design impulse requires!
