19th Century French Louis XVI Mahogany Cabinet was designed to look like a Semainier!  Designed to appeal to the more affluent audience, such specialized pieces are superlative choices for rooms with lots of windows, as one can put it between windows or a corner and still have copious amounts of storage space, all in a classically styled masterpiece of the cabinetmaker's art!  The subtle carved detail includes two cornerposts depicting carqois de fleche, or quivers of arrows, banded with cast bronze ribbon.  Gold trim highlights the molding across its entirety, with cast bronze pulls and keyguards.  The pulls are mounted only on the top drawer, which is an actual drawer, while the lower "drawers" are actually a faux facade for a single large cabinet door.  When opened, the door reveals interior drawers that provide incredible storage and organizational versatility.  The quality of this piece simply defies description!
