19th Century French Louis XVI Seven-Drawer Chest ~ Semainier is an elegant combination of the classical Louis XVI architecture with influences of the Directoire style for a piece that will blend with any formal decor!  Topped with luxurious Carrara marble, prized for its consistency and luscious white color, the marble is beveled and contoured to follow the rounded cornerposts below, each of which are fluted all the way down to the elegantly tapered legs tipped with brass feet.  Brass quarter round molding trim also defines the side panels and each of the drawer facades, which are also fitted with cast brass ring pulls and finely cast key guards that add an air of elegance in a refined, understated manner.  What's more, the somewhat restrained embellishments also allow one to more fully appreciate the sheer natural beauty of the wood, as woods of this quality are very rarely seen in this modern world!  The convenience of seven individual drawers also cannot be overstated!
