Antique French Louis XV Commode has been lavishly carved from solid old-growth oak and features a relatively sedate top with mitered corners overlooking a facade that is anything but sedate! Exquisite renderings of stylized shell, floral and foliate motifs permeate the entire front and rounded cornerposts, extending down even to the scrolled legs with escargot feet which flank the undulating and artistically carved apron. Scrolled aprons appear even on the sides, with finely molded raised & recessed panels for visual appeal from all angles. Two upper drawers are accessed with cast brass pulls and a matching keyguard above, but access is provided solely with pull keys for the two lower drawers.
