Antique French Regence Walnut Marble Top Commode features the timeless styling that blends the Louis XIV and Louis XV styles, with graceful form and elegance yet a strong visual presence.  Supported by four cabriole legs carved with shells and tipped with escargot feet, it features a tailored, scrolled apron on three sides leading the eye up to the subtle bowfront of the two drawers, each carved with crosshatched shell and foliate flourishes.  The carvings accentuate the sheer natural beauty of the luxurious wood.  Cast brass pulls and keyguards add a functional and visual accent.  A lovely piece of beautifully veined marble has been contoured and beveled to follow the casework form below for the perfect finishing touch.
