Pair 19th Century French Neoclassical Walnut Marble Top Nightstands

Pair 19th Century French Neoclassical Walnut Marble Top Nightstands are designed to complement each other, not be duplications.  Sculpted from the finest indigenous furniture wood in Europe, both are identically sized, and topped with luxuriously veined marble.  Both feature a full width drawer just underneath that, and rest on fluted columns with upturned foliates and Doric capitals.  A lower shelf with chamfered back panel and four turned legs are also common to each.  There the similarities end, with one having a beautifully crafted cabinet with marble lined interior and heraldic crest with foliates carved into the door panel, and the other another open shelf.  Fletching overlay and rosettes complete the ornamentation.
