Antique French Renaissance Raised Buffet

Antique French Renaissance Raised Buffet was hand-carved from solid oak to last for generations!  The spacious top provides ample display and serving space, but the facade below steals the show.  Three finely carved drawers with stylized foliates and scrollwork, centered with wrought iron pendant pulls, are defined by four carved corbels.  Underneath appears three spacious cabinet doors, with the outside doors carved with an intriguing foliate and diamond form centered with a floral rosette, while the center door takes on more of a heraldic crest motif.  Heart-shaped pulls, keyguards and large strap hinges are all forged from iron and add design flair as well as functionality.  The casework rests on six carved urn pediments with Doric capitals which in turn are mounted on a footed rail that encircles the entire lower perimeter, bringing the cabinets, drawers and surface up to a more convenient height while adding wonderful visual appeal.
