Early 19th Century Country French Vaisselier ~ Buffet in Stripped Oak is a marvelous example of fine rural artisanry, with special attention paid to the joinery and carved details normally not found in such a piece.  The bold crown is enhanced by the scrolled apron carved with Greek urn and foliates, which overlooks the two shelves and three surfaces of display below.  The two door buffet underneath provides copious storage behind the pair of arched doors featuring graceful French scrolls and intricately detailed key guards.  The doors are suspended by steel barrel hinges and appear over the scrolled apron adorned with a single stylized shell at the center.
