Antique French EngravingThis ebonized 19th century French music cabinet makes a great style accent for today’s stylish interiors. Look at the delightful cherub detail on the door. It is even sweeter at 50% Off!

Antique Furniture

Although appearing to be a typical confiturier at first glance, this Antique French Music Cabinet was designed for the music room and used to keep sheet music and perhaps small instruments such as flutes or clarinets.  The design of this ebonized cabinet features bas relief pilasters in the classical style, with a charming crest applique at the center depicting Cupid dancing and playing his cymbals!

Circa 1870.

Beauty is Indeed in the Details

Antique EngravingDear friends,

I believe antique living is a state of mind. It is for those in love with the romance of the past that experience a refined lifestyle, and at the same time enjoying the essence of history which enhances our everyday lives. Whatever brings you to Antiques in Style, our quest is always to enhance your lifestyle and your interiors with antiques that inspire your dreams.

Antique Beauty is in the Details

I just returned from another extensive buying trip and wanted to share a photo of a few of my finds. These are remarkable French doors which imbue elegance and grace ~ they are from a Chateau and feature their original Louis XVI bronze hardware ~ and the remarkable hand painted finish in soft neutral tones is exquisitely preserved. The needlepoint tapestry fauteuils with hand-carved French walnut frames have just a touch of d’ore accent to balance their simple lines with the charm and elegance of classical elements.

Beauty is indeed in the details!

The Antique Show Must Go On!

Antique French EngravingHello everyone! I love this time of the year; summer is on the way and a lot of new adventures are on our horizon. This month we are particularly busy with huge Wholesale Market events in both of our showrooms. We are all abuzz setting up an enormous booth at the Dallas Market Center with the show scheduled for June 19-22, which I find an extremely fun task. Designing the venue, sourcing architectural elements, and creating an elaborate layout ~this show is FOUR times the size of our previous space ~ are all quite challenging yet rewarding.
