19th Century Solid Bronze Gothic Chandelier was crafted in bronze with a lustrous natural finish, and was originally designed for church use with candles or incense.  The Gothic Revival style was first made popular in England throughout the Regency period as evidenced by the multiple illustrations of Gothic designs for furniture published by George Smith in 1808 and 1828. The Gothic Revival was equally popular in France and Italy and was an important part of the 19th century aesthetic. Elaborate Gothic detail abounds from any viewing angle, decorated with gargoyles and fleur de lys, and the original crown pendant and suspension chains cast in bronze only add to the timeless appeal. Painstakingly rewired to US electric lighting standards by our expert staff, it will provide decades of beautiful illumination for your home, compliments of the extraordinary jewelry-quality detailing that abounds from the crown to the graceful arms. Perfect for adding ambiance!
