19th Century French Louis XIV Giltwood Vanity Bench with Tapestry is a special find, indeed!  Sculpted in the bold scrollwork and prominent carved embellishment made popular during the reign of the Sun King, it features six elegantly scrolled and embellished cabriole legs, adorned with acanthus plumes, florals and escargots.  The legs are connected with two pair of double lyre stretchers below centered with subtle rosettes.  At the top of the legs, the six apron sections are lavished with acanthus plumes and stylized shells pierce-carved through the apron for amazing visual appeal and three dimensional allure from all angles!  Subtle earth tones were used in the woven tapestry upholstery that glorifies the beauty of nature in flower and foliage motifs, fully cushioned and ready to provide smiles for decades to come!
