Antique French Louis XVI Caned Side Chair is a perfect choice for any occasional use, especially Southern climates where the caned seats really show their advantage of keeping cool.  Framework is entirely constructed from solid oak, and features a rectilinear neoclassical architecture that includes four tapered and fluted legs supporting the caned seats, underneath which is a reinforcing apron all around carved with spiral ribbon bordering.  Lotus blossom petals are carved into the transitions between the seat and seat backs, with the seat backs also treated to the same spiral ribbon bordering, and a beaded bordering inside that, similar to a frame around artwork.  Of course, if you consider the sculptured back splat to be art, you would be correct, making the picture frame effect of the surroundings perfectly appropriate!  Note that the back splats are not identical, either.  Be sure to specify when calling in your order to 888-326-2390.
