A beautiful French 19th-century hand-painted porcelain jardinière / cachepot, made to coordinate with the matching pair of vases. The softly flared form is decorated with a finely detailed pastoral sheep scene in delicate, atmospheric tones, with wonderful landscape depth and traditional French charm. The rich blue “base” is hand-painted directly on the porcelain, and the rim is finished with tasteful gilded accents.

The piece is fitted with elegant gilt metal mounts that are also enameled, featuring scrolling decorative details that add a refined, old-world finish. Ideal as a jardinière, cachepot, or simply as a decorative centerpiece—especially when displayed with the companion vases as a complete set.
