19th Century French Louis Philippe Period Buffet a Deux Corps in Stripped Oak was hand-crafted by master artisans during the period, and exemplifies the tailored, simplistic architectural form that is definitive of that era.  Created from dense, old-growth indigenous oak, it features two tiers that can be easily separated for transport, yet are so solidly designed and made that gravity alone is all that is needed to assemble the two.  A handsome crown molding appears over the top tier, whose pair of doors open to reveal shelves and spacious storage, while the lower tier is deeper and affords as much storage as the top.  A tier of three drawers separates the two, above which is a shallow surface ideal for setting things down while loading or removing such items from their storage.  Brass knobs, key guards, and half-mortised steel locks appear to be original to the piece.  Pediment style feet complete the look, while the sheer natural beauty of the wood is revealed thanks to our painstaking proprietary stripping process that retains the patina of the old wood, all performed by our expert in-house staff.
