19th Century French Walnut Renaissance Carved Center Table is the perfect choice for the wine connoisseur!  Artistically carved across the entire top, the apron, the central pediment, and even the trio of scrolled legs, it must be examined closely to be fully appreciated!  Using sumptuous walnut, the sculptor carved fully laden grapevines just inside the foliate bordering of the edge, with another circle inside the grapevines depicting different vines, and finally at the center a blooming rose surrounded by wildflowers and foliage.  The contoured top edge first features a finely detailed egg & dart, underneath which is a foliate drapery effect sculpted from solid walnut.  The pediment is masterfully turned then carved with grape leaves and acanthus rosettes, with the scrolled legs emanating out from the lower section just above a ball finial.  The legs feature more foliate embellishment to finish out the effect in style!
