18th Century French Louis XVI Commode is a study in classical elegance!  Crafted from dense, old-growth oak to last for centuries, it features a tailored casework with intricate bas relief carving across the drawer facades and apron, all flanked by fluted pilasters topped with elongated rectangular rosettes.  The carved embellishment includes raised molding, wildflower sprays and a basket of flowers on the apron below.  Each drawer is centered with a diamond shaped brass key guard.  Tapered legs connected with a rosette-adorned plinth provide support.  Note the hand-hewn planks on the back, and the pegged mortise & tenon joinery.
