Antique French Louis XVI Walnut Bed is the very definition of elegance!  Classically styled in the revival of ancient Greek and Roman architecture so favored by King Louis XVI, it features a headboard crown with bold, rounded shoulders lavished with floral sprays, providing a framework for the floral sprays in fine relief just under the top molding.  Laurel garlands and foliates appear atop the diamond parquet center panel, with tailored raised panels and rounded, carved corner posts on each side.  The footboard is a variation on the same theme, but with twin panels separated by a parquet stile with urn above, and foliate carvings below.  The same motif appears at the bottom of the footboard as appears midway down each side rail, with the rails lengthened to accommodate a more modern XL length full mattress.  A queen size mattress set would ride on top with 2" overlap on each side, so is a possibility as well.  Hand-crafted from sumptuous French walnut for a classic look that is truly timeless.
