SaleCreated in the early 20th century, this antique French Régence table is distinguished by exceptional hand carving, its original painted finish, and a beautifully aged patina. The shaped apron is carved on all four sides with shells, acanthus leaves, floral motifs, and scrolling details.
Graceful cabriole legs continue the carving from the apron and terminate in scrolled feet. The original paint has softened naturally with age, settling into the carved details and giving the table authentic character and depth.
The shaped original French marble top displays rich veining in cream, brown, charcoal, and warm neutral tones. Its molded edge follows the contours of the carved base, reflecting the quality of the table’s construction.
