The classical discipline of the Louis XVI period gives this mid-century coffee table its refined character. Inspired by the Parisian interiors and neoclassical furnishings associated with Maison Jansen style, the design brings together rich mahogany, luminous Carrara marble, and delicately worked brass.
The rectangular marble top is enclosed by a pierced brass gallery, recalling the decorative galleries used on refined French furnishings of the late 18th century. Slender fluted legs, narrow brass molding, and petite sabots continue the classical vocabulary, while the low rectangular silhouette gives the table a distinctly mid-century presence.
Simple yet striking in its lines, this beautifully restrained design translates the symmetry and sophistication of the Louis XVI tradition into an elegant coffee table.
