19th Century French Renaissance Walnut Marble Top Raised Buffet is a celebration of the style, with stylized interpretations of naturalistic forms that are truly amazing to behold!  Whimsical Norsemen appear where normally rosettes would be carved flanking each of the three beautifully carved drawers across the top, just underneath the luxuriously veined rouge marble top.  Underneath those same Norsemen are pilasters carved with bounty-of-the-earth motifs, each featuring shells at the bottom.  The pilasters form a framework for the three doors, which are amazing works of art exhibiting detailed relief work of urns with fruit, amazing foliates, orbs and even dolphins!  The entire cabinet is upheld by two turned pediments which flank the full width lower shelf, which is defined by a multi-tiered base molding and bun feet.
