Sculptural in form and expressive in its craftsmanship, this mid-century French candelabrum was individually hand-forged from iron in the bold Brutalist tradition. Seven gracefully rising branches extend from the central standard in a balanced, almost architectural composition, each terminating in a tapered candle cup shaped by the blacksmith’s hand.
The dark iron surface retains its textured finish and naturally aged patina, emphasizing the subtle irregularities that distinguish authentic hand-forged work. A broad arched base with four shaped feet provides a strong visual foundation, while the rhythmic arrangement of the candle arms creates a dramatic silhouette when displayed either with or without candles.
Circa mid-1900s
