Artfully designed to mimic the morning sun, this convex mirror was meant more as an amusement device and a design accent than an actual mirror. So much so that the design caught on in early Federalist America and became popular on both sides of the Atlantic. This example exhibits particular attention to detail and has a lovely patinaed gold finish.
