Antique French Louis XV Wingback Armchair ~ Bergere

Antique French Louis XV Wingback Armchair ~ Bergere was designed for comfort in style!  Hand-sculpted from solid fruitwood, the frame envelopes the plush fabric upholstery all around, with wingback extensions and fully upholstered armrests to wrap one in luxury.  The seat back is elegantly contoured, down to the padded armrests, then the sculptor added flair with carvings on the armrest tips, supports, and legs below depicting classic acanthus fronds, plumes, stylized shells and escargot feet appearing on all four legs.  The rich patina of the old-growth fruitwood has been allowed to shine forth thanks to our proprietary stripping process, revealing a natural beauty with a casual effect that is so in vogue for today's interiors.  Upholstery shows some age but is very serviceable.
