Pair 19th Century French Louis XV Walnut Armchairs ~ Fauteuils are a great choice for a comfortable seating group while providing subtle style and timeless design!  Hand-crafted from solid walnut, each features a medium-height arched seatback.  Generously sized armrests are gracefully scrolled, and supported by scrolled uprights, all of which are embellished with hand-carved acanthus plumes.  The front legs are also beautifully scrolled from top to bottom, and carved with an acanthus frond at the top, transitioning to spiral ribbon, down to the boldly scrolled escargot feet.  All four legs of each chair are connected with double-lyre stretchers centered with a rosette for added style flair and sturdiness.  Original mohair needs replacement.
