Pair Antique French Louis XV Bergeres ~ Armchairs represents the epitome of quality furnishings from a bygone era!  With a framework sculpted from dense, old-growth hand-selected oak, each features contours inspired by nature that envelope you with classy comfort and style.  The gently arched seatback with wings plus the generously padded seat, as well as the enclosed armrests and armrest pads, are upholstered in silk which is in serviceable condition.  The carved embellishment starts with the emanation of the armrests tipped with an acanthus flourish, then gracefully arcing down to the apron which is fully carved on all four sides and supported by boldly scrolled cabriole legs.  Motifs on the apron and legs include sculpted acanthus plumes, rosettes, shell, floral, foliates, and cloven hoof feet.
