Rare 18th Century Country French Walnut Child's High Chair is an unusual example of fine craftsmanship designed for a toddler.  Not many of these examples remain due to the abuse they usually endure that this one has luckily escaped.  Fitted with a leather seat which appears to be the original, fitted with large head brass tacks, it boasts sturdy arms and seatback with bentwood splats and an attractively arched crown.  Tapered and faceted armrest supports match the leg structures below which are connected with elaborately turned stretchers which when included with the foot rest represent seven reinforcements to the legs for a sturdy seat designed to protect the lucky child who was allowed to use it.  A perfect choice for an instant family heirloom!
