19th Century English Classical Hall Bench is an ideal choice for a hallway, stairwell landing, or entryway!  The shallow depth ensures it will not intrude on the traffic flow, yet still provides an adequate surface for occasional seating.  The design is a study in contrast, with an elaborately carved seatback crown festooned with billowing foliates in relief flanking a Greco-Roman Urn with flowers at the center.  Two lions' heads in bold relief guard each upper corner.  The three panels of the seat back below are carved with a colonnade design lavished with foliates, with two straight armrests joined to the front of the gadrooned seat with spooled armrest supports.  Spooled legs below continue that theme, with teardrop feet to finish the effect.  Crafted from solid old-growth English oak to last for centuries!
