19th Century French Gothic Hall Bench is an amazing find!  This relatively diminutive bench will fit in many places a full size bench simply won't, providing opportunities to enrich your hallway, foyer, or any special niche.  Hand-sculpted from dense, old-growth oak, it features wheat grain bordering all around, providing a framework for the geometric forms and decorative motifs inspired by nature.  Fleur de lys spires on the corner posts flank the finely carved seatback gallery rail.  Amazing geometric designs incorporating quatrefoils appear on the seatback and trunk portion of the bench, flanked by torchere motifs on the cornerposts.  Linenfold panels on the sides are elegantly executed, and all together the design indicates how much talent went into the sculpture of this instant family heirloom.  The bench seat lifts up to provide storage as an added bonus!
