19th Century French Louis XVI Painted Armbench with Cane & Mohair makes a perfect choice in front of a window, on a stairwell landing, in a hallway, or at the foot of the bed!  Hand-crafted from fine hardwood then carved with classic rosettes, it features fluted armrests and tapered & fluted legs, with tailored molding detail appearing throughout the rest of the design.  The sides of the armrests and the back are caned, with a beautiful rosette appearing at the center for fantastic visual appeal, overlooking the mohair seat which remains in serviceable condition.  The patinaed painted finish has achieved a lovely aged appearance over the decades, and has even been applied to the back in case one wants to use this item away from a wall, or in front of the window.  Subtle gold highlights in the painted finish have also aged gracefully only adding to the timeless classical allure.
