19th Century French Louis XVI Petite Banquette ~ Bench with Needlepoint is the ideal choice for the vanity or as a piano bench!  Meticulously hand-sculpted from sumptuous French walnut in the neoclassical style, it features beaded molding and a tailored apron punctuated by rectangular rosettes that appear atop the tapered, fluted and carved legs.  The legs lead the eye down to the base with teardrop feet, and just above that double curved stretchers that join all four legs for stylish strength.  The piece de resistance, however, is the finely crafted needlepoint seat depicting a floral bouquet surrounded by elaborate scrollwork in muted earth tones which reflects a superb talent at work!
