Rustic 18th Century Country French Trunk

Rustic 18th Century Country French Trunk was hand-crafted from solid old-growth oak to literally last for centuries!  The tailored lines of the plank and panel design provide sturdiness and clean good looks.  Ideal as a sofa table or even as a coffee table, the top lifts up to reveal cavernous storage, which was indispensable at the time of its making, when things like closets were almost unheard of.  Note the double pegged mortise & tenon joinery, the gold standard of woodworking that produces furniture that long outlasts its owners, making this an excellent family heirloom piece that is as functional as it is well made!
