18th Century Swedish Neoclassical Painted Corner Vitrine ~ Curio Cabinet is the perfect choice to decorate and utilize what is usually dead space in a room ~ the corner! Hand-crafted, then sculpted and painted to highlight the carvings, it features patina and character galore. The tailored classical design is two tiered, and includes fluted corner posts framing the nine glazed panes for display above, and the wonderfully embellished single cabinet door below. The cabinet door panel provides the most visual intrigue, with egg & dart molding, fabric swags with ribbon and rosettes. The carving and the flutes on the cornerposts are painted in an antique white to provide subtle contrast with the pale blue-gray of the overall piece itself. The top tier sports three surfaces, with two surfaces for the storage below. Truly a timeless work of the cabinetmaker's art!
