Antique French Louis XVI Mahogany Vitrine with Carrara Marble was meticulously created of the utmost quality in both materials and craftsmanship!  Exotic imported mahogany was used for the casework, enhanced by bronze and brass with matching gold highlights in the flutes of the corner post columns.  A Greek wave motif dominates the crown, cast in solid bronze and duplicated on each side, separated by grooved brass capitals that project out from the rectangular casework creating an interesting form that is mirrored by the luxuriously veined, beveled Carrara marble top.  Three glazed panes allow ambient light in, and a mirrored back ensures plenty of illumination even without adding artificial lighting.  The glazing is held in place by brass frameworks, a sure sign of exceptional quality.  Two shelves with adjustable supports give you plenty of display options within, while a double door compartment below stores items awaiting their turn.  A grooved brass apron surrounds the base, fitted with four elegantly tapered vase-shaped legs with flutes highlighted in gold to match the corner columns above.  Truly a a magnificent work of the cabinetmaker's art!
