Antique Bronzes Pen Rest ~ Paperweight was cast in an interesting masculine design, with the uprights representing halberds, the feet gauntlets, and the base a rotunda of bellicose themes.  Ideal for the masculine decor, this very unusual artifact was designed for the executive who had everything already, and was used to park pens so that the ink was contained and would not stain the desk top.  Long before the days of emails and texting, letter writing was not only essential, but elevated to an art form, and inkwells and pens were used daily.  Many vessels and accouterments have been developed over the centuries to accommodate the industry, and this is one of the more unusual examples.
