19th Century French Henri II Open Bookcase represents the combination of classical rectilinear architecture with carved embellishments inspired by the Renaissance for the perfect blend for your masculine decor!  A bold crown with stepped corners overlooks the casework, with a visual separation of a top and lower section provided by the elongated corbels and carved figural capitals on each cornerpost resting on a molded tier about halfway down.  The lower section is flanked by more staid pilasters but set off by a bold base molding and large bun feet.  Between the crown and the base lie a fixed shelf midway, and five adjustable shelves to create abundant configurations for displaying your books, keepsakes, collection or heirlooms.  Hand-crafted from solid old-growth oak, it has been given a stripped finish for a more lightweight visual effect.
