19th Century French Louis Philippe Bookcase in Flame Mahogany is a superlative example of the genre, noted for its tailored lines and lack of carved embellishment, which endears itself to almost any decor!  This example, rendered from exotic imported mahogany cut on the joint of the branch to create a flame pattern, features the traditional serpentine formed crown molding duplicated in the treatment of the drawer tier between the glazed upper cabinet and the enclosed lower cabinet.  The sheer natural beauty of the wood has been allowed to show forth in such a design.  Tailored molding appears on the casework below, with a pair of doors that open without a divider for excellent access to the capacious interior.  Above, molding has been applied over the glass to create subtle arched shapes, enhancing yet not obstructing one's view into the interior where one can place books, keepsakes and family heirlooms.  An exceptional choice for the casual or formal interior!
