19th Century French Louis Philippe Period Cherry Bookcase ~ China Buffet is a timeless rendition of the genre, executed in beautifully aged cherry wood presenting a splendid figure and patina into the design.  The stately, austere architecture of the piece is in keeping with the era, consisting of a tailored crown and bonnet over two cabinet doors, each fitted with six glass panes, which open to reveal two shelves and three surfaces.  The top section is slightly recessed from the base section, which includes a pair of drawers and another pair of solid cherry doors, the latter of which also open to reveal a shelf and two surfaces for discreet storage.  Brass key guards and bale pulls on the drawers add a nice visual touch.  The timelessness of the design ensures its compatibility with a wide variety of styles and decors, ensuring its endearment for decades to come.
